Previously an all-original blues rock band, Fiction has done some restructuring and ready for you to hear their new sound which is best described as folky-reggae. Fiction plays a mix of originals matched with the best of Sublime and other 90's rock bands.

BLACK DATA DJ SET [6pm-9pm] at the surf shack:

Matt Kenny and Kyle Roberge have grown together as musicians for years in Philadelphia, Connecticut and currently in Boston. Black Data is the natural progression of experiments in understanding the sounds they love, allowing them to now operate in that space beyond. The musical influence of the Black Data project is both offbeat and raw. A calculated listen to one of their mixes will unearth elements of techno, dark soul, electric folk and house. Under various monikers, they have cued up tunes on most dancefloors in the Northeast including Brooklyn’s Verboten; sharing bills with the likes of Abakus, Soul Clap, Tiger and Woods, Edit Murphy, Tipper, Orchard Lounge, Blockhead, and Treasure Fingers. Music muddled with emotion and patience can be expected from Black Data. As for their next move, it is sure to remain seductively cryptic.
